New innovations in the solar power industry are making solar more affordable than ever. Now nearly anyone can afford a small start-up kit that will allow homeowners and business owners to start producing renewable energy and add more panels as their budget allows in the future.

Out With The Old

Just a couple years ago the minimum solar power kit you could find was about $8000. This was primarily because of the inverter, which changes the DC power from the panels to AC power for your home. The smallest grid-tie inverter that you could buy was about 1500W, and cost about $2000. Because of this, it only made sense to maximize the capacity of the inverter with the most solar panels. This would add to the cost of the system bringing it into the $8000-$10000 range.

Micro Inverters Have Changed Everything

Now, technology has advanced to the point where we can use a new device called a micro-inverter. About the size of an internet modem, these inverters cost about $200 each. They are designed to be connected to one panel with a wattage of 200 or higher. The inverter is then simply connected to the grid at your home or business. This means that you can just buy one inverter and one panel, with racking, wiring, and disconnects, for less than $1000 and start generating grid-tied renewable energy with your DIY kit. This changes everything. Now almost anyone can afford a starter solar power system.

Expanding Is a Piece of Cake

Maybe the best part of this new development is that there is virtually no limit to how large or small your system could be. Many people are starting with a one panel system, and simply adding a panel every year as their budget allows. In 9-10 years they would have a system that could provide the majority of their power needs. Since the DIY system is one inverter for one panel, you just add a system, or multiple systems, into your electrical feed and watch the power bill go down.

Same Rebates & Incentives

These systems are eligible for the same tax incentives and rebates that the larger systems are. As long as your local utility doesn’t have a minimum system size, which most don’t, you’ll get your rebate with just as you wold with a large system.

Production Readout

The new micro inverter systems also come with a digital readout capability that connects to the internet. This means you could see what each panel/inverter combination is producing at any given time, whether you have 1 or 100 panels. And you can track your production over time as well to see when you getting the most out of your solar system.

Better Production

Another added benefit of these solar panel kits is that can actually produce more than a traditional kit of the same wattage. This is because each panel/inverter combination is only limited by the amount of sun it receives. In the traditional systems, the panels were arranged into strings. If one panel in the string was shaded or malfunctioning, the entire string would be affected. With the new inverters, if one panel is shaded, it only affects that panel.

So these new systems truly are revolutionary. The time has never been better than now to get stared producing your own solar power.

If you’ve happened upon this article because you are looking for information on the lowest solar panel prices, get set to find yourself amazed. I will teach you a sophisticated but easy method to almost immediately start enjoying enough free energy to keep your entire household running, and even generate some extra income. Am i dreaming? Just wait and see for yourself – scan the information that follows.

Why break the bank paying bills for ordinary electricity when you can generate your own power with simple solar panels and a converter, whether it is on the roof or the backyard of your house? And fortunately, this system doesn’t cost much; it was out of reach for many people up until recently, but now things are different.

How do i know all that? I started out by doing what you’re doing – surfing the web for the lowest solar panel prices and i heard about the fact that a considerable number of people – in our country as well as thousands of miles away – have been enjoying the rewards of a system which generates a vast amount of electricity from the power of the sun, quickly and easily. I checked into the topic further and i also found out that this can be achieved at what i would call a bargain basement price we can all afford (who can’t afford to save money?). Fortunately, recent gains in the solar power arena have given us all a technique which allows us to enjoy free and unlimited electricity supply for as long as we live.

Perhaps you’re only curious about the lowest solar panel prices, but do yourself a favor and verify what i say – with solar power, you can have as much electricity as you want, at no charge, and you can finally be free of expensive electric bills as you won’t need any power supplier for your family’s energy needs. I found out that it’s a widespread practice to get compensated by the electric company in your region for all extra electricity generated by your system. And in addition to the benefits of saving and making money, by turning sunlight into electricity you contribute your part to preserve our planet today, tomorrow, and beyond.

The history of solar power battery chargers has to begin with the advent of solar power. Attempts to capture the power of the sun have been made since the dawn of man. Realizing its power to give heat and light, intrigued man from the beginning of time. Leonardo da Vinci studied the sun and ways to harness it in the fifteenth century.

Although modern science has taken away the romance of sun gods, mystical beings and other myths and tales, it has not lost its curiosity. Harnessing the suns power to be used in batteries has been around since France decided it needed an alternate energy source long before the fuel shortage of the seventies.

Charles Fritz managed to turn the suns rays into electricity with the first solar cell in 1883. It wasn’t until later in the 1880′s that a solar cell was used to warm water in his house. The studies went on. The possibilities of using up all of the nonrenewable resources was well known in the nineteenth century. People around the world still chose to use coal and other nonrenewable energy sources as though they would never end, or have any consequences.

Three scientists from Bell Labs, Calvin Fuller, Daryl Chaplin and Gerald Pearson made the discovery that silicon was a very good semiconductor. Today solar cells and panels are usually made of silicon.

These small yet applaudable steps were baby steps to the many uses of solar energy today. Now, solar energy is influencing the production of energy much more than those in history ever imagined. It is no longer history, it is the future that depends on solar power and the ability to use the sun as an energy source and to not deplete the earth of nonrenewable resources.

Then the price of oil doubled in the seventies, the government of the United States finally decided to invest time and funds into the development of the solar cell. This is the same solar electric cell that was produced in 1953 by the scientists at Bell Laboratories.

Today the assortment of solar powered battery chargers is amazing. When you inventory your electronic gadgets, you know that everyone needs to be charged in one way or another. You will find out that most of those electric chargers can be replaced by solar battery chargers.

The solar charger contains solar panels. When these panels are placed in direct sunlight, the panels will convert the energy from the sun and store it in your battery. The more energy you want, the larger the solar panel you will need. Portable solar chargers are available and built into many small devices. Solar powered calculators have been around for decades. At first large and cumbersome, they are now pocket sized and more efficient.

Internal solar batteries are usually what you will find in these small hand held devices. Price counts. There are some that are too small to charge the device with just the sun, but can charge the internal battery. Internal batteries will most likely have to be replaced before the device wears out. Replacement of an internal battery will most likely occur every couple of years and is a danger to the ecosystem. A weak battery in a new device is also a potential issue.

External solar chargers are great when you aren’t anywhere close to an electric outlet. You can plug the charger into your device on a beach, in a foreign country or out in a boat with no AC power. They are also great if you are camping. You can get solar panels large enough to keep everything in your camp charged and usable without tapping into electrical power supplies. They are great for any emergency, survival or your pleasure when electricity is not available.

Before you invest in a solar charger, it will be important to see if your appliances and devices can be used with one. The additional purchase of cables may be necessary in some instances.

In order to charge rechargeable batteries you will need a separate solar power charger. Since this will most likely be used outdoors, it is important to buy one that is weatherproof. Keep the connections clean and free from anything that may clog them and the panels themselves will function more efficiently if they are also kept clean and free from dust and grime.

In the recent times, there are infinite benefits of the <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.solarpowerguys.com.au/”>residential solar power systems</a>. You can use it anytime because it functions with the help of the limitless energy of the sun. Many individuals across the globe are not using the refreshable supplies of energy because they are exceptionally worried about the finishing of non refreshable energy sources. Now, the cost of fuels has gone exceptionally high along with even the problems like global warming are a danger to the total human race. The residential solar power systems are exceptionally helpful because they utilize the solar energy from the sun and so we do not have to depend upon the limited resources, anymore. Apart from being very easy on the pocket, it is exceptionally environment welcoming.
There are principally two chief varieties of these systems. The initial one is the stand alone system, along with the following one is the grid tie system. In the grid tie system, it is allied with an electric grid, whereas in the stand alone system there is no insertion of any electric grid. Moderately, the stand alone system is low priced than the grid tie system.
You can save important figures of your electricity spending tab after mounting the residential solar power system at your abode or workplace. The sums from the electricity bill are guessed to be saved up till eighty percent. If the climatic states are encouraging, then your residential solar power system would generate surplus power. Many people trade their overload created electricity, after fixing the grid tie system.
The residential solar power systems do not create contamination in the environment. You would not have to stay reckon on up on the exterior electricity donors, after fitting this system… The fuels that are used for electricity generation could be saved from their spending in addition to depletion due to the residential solar power systems. The fitting of the residential solar power systems would be definitely a small scheme by you towards saving the scarce fuels and lessening the contamination in the ecosystem. The awareness for using the solar energy instead of other non refreshable reserves of energy could also be spread by you amid your neighbors, friends as well as associations.
In the initial phases, the fitting of the residential solar power system may prove a bit costly to you, but you would surely reap the benefits of fitting it, in the long run. Now, many nations are now constructing the solar thermal power stations in order to rescue energy resources and scarce fuels.

Shifting to an alternative source of electricity is becoming evident recently. Armed with the revolution in solar power information available in the market this process is facilitated more than ever.

People are contantly seeking new method to generate electricity which can be used as a replacement or complement to the traditional sources of energy.

Materials found in solar power information sources highlight three methods of solar power generation.

First of these methods is photvoltaic cells. Most of the solar power infromation sources state this method as being the most popular of all the methods. Usually these cells are placed at the roof to collect rays from the sun. The rays are generated firstly as DC current and then it is converted to AC current by the help of a converter. The user has the option either to use the generate electricity directly or to store it for later use.

The size of photovoltaic cells to be used varies with the intended use of the system. Solar power information guides provide assistance as to the optimal size of these cells is.

The second method of solar energy generation uses parabolic mirrors. The solar energy is generated by using the parabolic mirrors which concentrate the sun rays into specific cell.

The third method is solar thermal energy. In this method the heat from the sun is captured by a collector. The heat that is captured by the collector is used to provide hot water to the residence. Thus the use of such system is limited to generating hot water. Next to air heating, hot water is considered by most solar power information sources as the most source of electricity consumption.

The fourth method to solar power generation is what solar power information guides call passive solar energy. Passive solar energy uses engineering tweaks to maximize the exposure and use of solar rays to heat the air and water of the residence.

The positioning and size of windows, the materials used for floor and walls, and the direction that the sun rays hit the house all are considered examples of passive solar energy.

Determining what is the most suitable method to use in generating solar power might not be an easy task. Solar power information sources and guides available at the market provide assistance as to what is the most suitable system to be installed at your place.
